Meditation Methods

We will focus on a few specific meditation methods that offer distinct differences in experience and in the development of your practice. Breath awareness, body scanning/sensing, and creative emotional exploration such as gratitude and loving kindness. We will be sitting in meditation for the majority of the time, so please bring a meditation cushion or anything else for your comfort.

• What to bring
A pen/paper (or device) if you'd like to take notes. A cushion if you prefer to sit on the floor.

• Important to know
This is a secular exploration of topics around mindfulness and meditation. We welcome all respectful views and practice open-mindedness and tolerance for all participants.

SIDEWALK SIGNS OF DIVINE: Accessing Intuition in Everyday Life

When the heart and brain are coherent, the capacity to have insight and intuition becomes greater. When the thinking mind is restricted or dominant over the "higher mind" this limits our capacity to make sense of what is inherently available to us. We can use the thinking mind to process or interpret the data while connecting to the "field" of infinite.

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." A. Einstein

LIMITLESS SOUL: Seeing Beyond the Veil

Energy is the very fabric of all things material, yet is responsive to the mind, emotion, intention, and the environment. We invite individual and collective inquiry on this idea that the "veil" is thin and a more expansive state of consciousness is available to us. If that is true, the bigger question is why, and what would we do with this?

LIBERATION: The Path Through Mindfulness + Meditation

What would true freedom or personal liberation look like and what meaning would it offer in your life? We can look back at the perspective presented in classical yoga texts for inspiration, and then inquire as to how that may be helpful or not in the perspective of out current live/lives.

Making a conscious choice at some point in our lives to explore inward, identify, and make sense of our stories and potentially limiting beliefs that we have come to hold true of ourselves, and we may seek a form of liberation from an interminable state of emotional repetition.

Evolutionary Consciousness: An Evening Discussion + Meditation

Evolutionary consciousness is about: Soul level perspectives.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
-Albert Einstein

We are a co-creator within this divine experience. This is our opportunity to work within our own frequencies to create the life more in alignment with our souls desire for experiences here on Earth. It could be that we create more grace within our heart and mind in the midst of hardship. Perhaps it’s more respect for our bodies and tend to it in a way that brings actual health. Perhaps it’s finding the energy and conviction to work toward our dreams. But these periods of confusion, stalls, reversals, and difficulties are divine also because they provide us such brilliant perspectives. Chaos often precedes transformation so if we open to understanding that this is not a linear growth process, perhaps we can be a little more loving toward ourselves along the way. Evolutionary consciousness is about: Soul level perspectives.
